1. Kindness toward all delivery (and trash collecting) personnel
This time of year is brutal. I’ve heard horror stories of what UPS people go through, or the people who put together our orders at amazon, or letter carriers, pizza delivery folks, flowers, you name it. And of course, our trash collectors. Everyone is rushing around trying to deliver what we want, or pick up what we don’t want. They all deal with traffic, weather, maybe out of control bosses, and their own personal troubles that no one knows about. Find a way to be kind. Speak to them from that place in you that understands being frazzles, overworked and underpaid. Take a split second to make eye contact, the real kind. Wish them a great night’s sleep.
